My grandmother is terrible sick. I don't know that she will make it to the 1st of the year or not. She has completely leaned over and look like someone has just folded her. I have often heard that the old begin drawing into the fetal position when they are about to die. I can see this in her.

I know it may sound terrible, but I honestly believe that if she passed, she would be in a much better place. Her quality of life is horrible. We have to pick her up, place her in the wheel chair, take her to the bathroom and feed her. You can't understand anything she is saying right now. She keeps her eyes shut for the most part.

She is 88. She has lived a long life. I think it is time for her to have her rest.

ambroseguy80	Posted on 09:25PM on Dec 25th, 2012 Wow! That is always a rough time when they get so up there that it would almost certainly be for the best if God takes them home! I had only two grandparents alive through my life, and they both eventually got there, so I know what you mean! I'll pray for her, baby!

I lost one grandfather weeks after I was born, my one grandmother when I was 7, my grandfather when I was 6, my great grandmother when I was 13. I am my grandmother's favorite. I have always been there for her. I try hard to remember, God is waiting on her.
MadTiger	Posted on 10:28PM on Dec 25th, 2012 I feel your pain, just recently my grandma had a stroke and one of side is paralyzed I know how you feel...one thing I find weird is that I love NY grandma more than my mom I don't know its because of the beating I used to get from my mom and my grandma always rescuing me .I seriously don't know why death exist anyway pray that your grandma KS recover and if I was you I wouldn't feel bad because God grant her the wish to see your kids or grand kids if you have any that is.
printpants	Posted on 11:30PM on Dec 27th, 2012 It's not cold to feel that way when someone you're close to has a quality of life that's in the pits. When my Dad was in the ICU on a ventilator with just IV meds keeping his heart going, his legs black from no circulation, what do you think my answer was when the nurse asked if we wanted to continue this "treatment"? I looked at my brothers, then at dad, who was so used to being on the move every day, and said shut the machines off. It didn't even take a minute and he was gone from this miserable planet.

colocowgirl	Posted on 05:12AM on Dec 28th, 2012 I can feel your pain. I am a grandma, and a great grandma. I am not in the same condition as your grandma, but my health isn't very good. I have COPD with emphazima, and now my Dr wants me to see a kidney specialist, because they are failing.
